Missy

Missy is an alley cat who is trying to protect the dog in her alley. He is not wanting to admit that he is no longer a house dog and needs to learn to be tough. Missy's goal is to get it through his head that his owner is not coming and that he is danger. She wants him to keep moving,
Missy is tough, but she is also kind to the people who need it. She is dirty and beet up, but if she were ti have a bath she would be a beautiful cat. Sleek black fur and big jewel eyes.

I know I haven't posted in awhile and I am sorry, it sorta slipped my mind considering this is the only class that I have needed to turn my laptop on for in about 2 weeks. Sorry!!! \
The Veterans Day concert is good. I thinks the parents will enjoy it. Are you going to sing with Jeremiah on Friday or was that for today so he could hit the notes? Any good luck with that. And here is a cute picture because I ran out of things to say.  

Murder

 Murder at the Howard Johnsons' is super funny one act. I really enjoyed the effort that Rebecca, Thomas, and Bryce put into the show to make it funny and enjoyable. They did a really good job making the characters seem real and gave them personality. The set was also really well done, though I believe it was a bit crowded, but that couldn't be helped due to the size of the stage. I really wished it was longer though. I had a really good time and would have gone again Saturday if it wasn't for my community service. I will be there for the spring play!

Okay so today was districts for volleyball. We were ranked 3rd in the district, so we played Masters. We lost in three. But we pit up a good fight. I made an all district team!!! I am so happy!
It means I got selected as a top player in the district. There are 2 all district teams, 1 and 2. I made the 2 team. It is an elected position, the coaches, depending on how they are ranked are given a number of all district awards they could give out, we had 4. 1 on the 1st all district, 3 on the 2nd. Morgan Burney made the 1st, Amanda Karan, Emily Bowen and myself made the 2.
I am happy, I always wanted to make an all district team.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate Mila. She is just so UGH! We played Foundation Academy tonight. we went in there knowing it would be a hard game. Well for starters I know I played like shit. But I don't need her pointing out ever freaking mistake I make! If anything that makes me play WORSE! We all pretty much played like shit tonight. So instead of saying encouraging things like a normal human being she sits over there on her ass and yells at us. She doesn't even bother with the good things we did, only the bad!

My weekend sucked! The first time I have EVER dropped my IPod it shattered. It is not even mine, it's my moms. She dropped mine and shattered it so I got hers while she ordered me a new one. Gr.. Then On my favorite T.V. show, Doctor Who, the two companions got 'died'. I am a die hard Whovian so I cried, hard. Any who. So then yesterday, I was at Sunday training for VBall. We were working on blocking and my arm got caught in the net and I couldn't get my hands up. I got smacked in the face by my coach. He hit full power, into my face. I am honestly surprised he didn't break my nose.
The highlight of my weekend was I got Avengers on DVD.

Memphis

This show takes place in the 60's. It is about a young black girl wishing for her break, and a young white man trying to find his way as a D.J.
The story starts off with the young woman, Trace, singing in her brothers bar, and the young D.J. walks in after hearing her from the street. He offers her a chance to be on the radio, not only for her to get her break, but for him to show people that blacks have just as good, if not better, music than whites.
He ends up taking over the blues show from a man who wouldn't know good music if it hit him. He starts to play black jazz and blues music. The ratings go up, and he gets the job 'for good'. Then the young woman finally saves enough money to make an album for the D.J. to use in his show, but the D.J's mother ends up breaking it.....

Some times I don't like going to a privet school. Today was one of those times. For two reasons. The first is that public schools get more days off then we do :(. The second is that today was national see you at the pole, day witch is when Christians meet at the flag pole before school starts and prays for the school, the campus, students, exct ..... So couldn't do that because of the whole NO religion school policy.
So ya didn't like LMP today. ON a happy note I got to watch part of the Avengers in English today!

Okay so we are officially placed 3 out of 4 in the district. We lost to Master's tonight in 4. I had 9 Kills and 6 blocks! YAY! So ya we have to wait and see who wins in the Father Lopez V.S. Masters game to know the 'Official' ranking.
I hate fire drills. I was in the middle of a math test. One that I didn't get to finish because of it. GRRR! I hate them. I had two really hard questions left. :'(  Not fair!

    Okay, boring day. I mean a really boring day. The most exciting thing I did today was when the whole (mostly) drama class sang the climb. I really love and hate that song. I out grew Miley/Hannah along time ago, yet I still like some of her music. Whatever.
  OH I also got shown this awesome Doctor Who quote thing from Lindsey. I am obsessed with that show.

I have no idea what to post so I am going to put up a story I wrote last week for English!

Every thousand years or so a group of four special people are born. These four people are known as Elementals. Elementals are born when the world is going through a change in power. Each Elemental controls one of the four main elements; Earth, Fire, Water or Air.

         James Williams, a sixteen year old, is currently standing in the middle of his ten year old sisters room, staring at a letter. Everything thing in the room is tron apart and strewn everywhere. The reason James is staring at the letter is that it is a ransom note, for his little sister. Sam, his precious, innocent, little sister, the only blood family he had left, was gone. He just didn't want to believe it.
        There was no one for James to tell either. His parents have been dead for a year, the government and law enforcement are in the middle of a political war, and his "guardians" are on "vacation". The only people that James could trust are his two best friends; Alexandria 'Ally' Stetson, and William 'Will' Markson.
        The thing about James, Ally and Will is that they aren't normal, and they know what they are. They are three of the four Elementals. James, Fire, has natural fire red streaks in his black hair. Ally, water, has natural ocean blue streaks in her brown hair. Will, earth, has natural grass green streaks in his blond hair. At midnight on their sixteenth birthdays they received the streaks and inherited the knowledge to control their powers, but only subconsciously. They also know that there is another, the Air Elemental. They just don't know who or where.
       All three of them agree that Sam needs to be found. They also agree that it could be a trap for them to be either killed or captured.

        After much indecision the three Elementals decided to go after Sam and worry about the consequences later. The problem? Where do they start looking......

I have absolutely nothing to write about tonight! Nothing happened today. Well we did win our game against Faith Christian Academy. Not a hard win. At all.
This weekend the Varsity VBall team is going to Tampa for a tournament. Not looking forward to that. Mila said she was going to get us back for the sticky noted car last Friday. Her pranks are mean, not funny. Yay.....
I am probably rooming with Amanda D. and Kendall H. That is the good thing. :)

      We beat Warner!! They used to be the hardest team in the district, they went to states several years in a row. This year they can barley get 15 points. They lost 9 players. 4 graduated last year and 5 didn't return because the tuition was raised.
      Mila also royally pissed me off. We were in the first game and she turns to me and says "Joie, you better start playing girl, you haven't showed up in the last two games. If you don't pick it up your going back to right side and are going to split playing time with Kendall!". I looked at as if she was crazy! Apparently she forgot that a week ago I took a header into the BLEACHERS and have a bruise the length if my collar bone and can't move my arm very fast. I can guarantee that Amanda Karan and myself are the ONLY ones on that team who play 100%, the whole game. Yet she yells at ME!!! God I really don't like her sometimes.

I love to write. Yesterday I had to write a story that follows the Hero archetype we had talked about in English class. So I used an idea I had been playing with for awhile. I want to write when I am older, so this gave me a chance to see if my ideas are read-worthy. Mrs. Sweezey said she liked it, so that makes me feel like I am doing good :) I really think I might have a chance in writing. If I did write I would write for young adults and it would be fantasy. :)

Okay so I didn't break anything yesterday. But I do have several bruises. I have one that runs about 8 inches from the bottom of my ear down my collar bone. I have one on both of my knee caps. I have one on my left fore arm. I have two on the back of my right. Also I can't move my neck without being in pain. I am turning into my friend Jenna. I swear, every week it was a new injury. Any who I got community service hours tonight. Yay! I helped out at the open house tonight. Although some of the people asking questions on where to go was really stupid. I mean its a square, it's not like your gonna get lost. I am sorry if that is mean, but it 1245 in the mourning and I am not Happy!!!

Never EVER run and or trip into the bleachers. I am in pain right now. We played Father Lopez tonight and lost on the 5th set 18-16. GRRR!! So the reason I am in pain is because when we were losing 16-17 in the last set we shanked the ball. So both the libero and myself run after it. Amanda gets there first and dives right in front of me. I try and not step on her so not to hurt her. I trip on her foot. I grab onto the black bars at the end of the bleachers to try to swing myself down to the ground so I don't hurt myself. Didn't work. Because when I got my hands on the bars I tripped on her foot/leg and rammed my collar bone and knees in to the bleachers. I think I might have broken something. I still got up and played the last point though.

 Music! I love it!! I can't do my homework with out music. Right now I am listening to New Divide by Linkin  Park. Really good song. It's from 'Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen'. I am always trying new songs, well new as in I haven't listened to them. I went through 40 dollars of Itunes gift card money in one weekend buying songs I had found on YouTube. I bought enough songs for at least three albums maybe four. Though I did actually by an album. Music is a must have with me. I love to try and harmonize with the people singing. I can actually do it on a good number of my songs. I like to sing along, but I hate being off key. :( yuck! Any way I rambled this time! Yay Me! okay I am Hyper!  :):):):):):)

 Have you ever played a sport and had a coach who, when they got into this funk, no matter how hard you tired you couldn't do anything right? I know that feeling. I had it tonight. Coach Mila was in one those funks. She kept telling me to block angle, so I did then she gets mad at me because the OTHER PLAYER hit around me. It drives me nuts. I can never do anything right with her. There is always something. So as you can probably guess, we lost. oh well, tomorrow we play Windamere. Yay! :P

Have I ever said I am really big Science fiction fan? I absolutely love it. Almost anything in that category I will love. I know I am a nerd. Not just scifi but fantasy/fiction as well. Some of my favorites are; Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Percy Jackson. All of those you ask me any question I can usually answer. I really am a nerd. But I don't care!!!!!!
Doctor Who had its season premier this Saturday. It was so good!! At the beginning I almost cried because two of my favorite characters almost got divorced. But it worked out for the better in the end. Next week's looks really good and I can't wait!
  

Sam characterization

It's Sam's first day at a new school. She just bought lunch is looking for a place to sit and striks up a conversation with another new girl named Pat.
Sam is a but on edge. Her brother teased her about the type of food she liked and threatened that she would be made a social outcast. She is freaking out because she is getting lost and is being late to every class. She is also frustrated that she is behind in her math class.
Sam will be wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with a jacket. Her hair is down with a side part and hair band. She has make-up but not overly so. She is bouncy and on edge. she looks on the verge of a mental melt down.
The objective of the scene id to for Sam to make friends and to get her rant out of her system.

     We won our game against ICS! yay! It was an easy game, we would have been laughed at if we had lost to them. We had more Aces in those three games than we had in the last three matches.
    So tomorrow I am leaving after 5th period, I get to go to my mom's house for the weekend. She is really sick so we are going to visit. She has shingles in her nose. OUCH!! So we are going to pamper her this weekend, to see if we can't make them go away. : P ; )

I really hate getting sick. I missed the first 2 periods of the day, advisory and half of drama. I couldn't practice this afternoon because whenever I moved more than walking I felt like I would either pass out or throw up. Grrr. Very annoying. So tomorrow we have a home game against ICS, I want to win. ooohh. So I was in the paper this morning for having 4 kills and 6 blocks but you would have known it was me other wise you wouldn't have known. The reason being was that the paper said Julie Jernigan. JULIE I wanted to scream when I saw it. I mean its not that hard JOIE. 4 LETTERS. Really!!!

We lost our game against Geneiva (SP?)! We couldn't get a pass. All of them were either behind the ten foot line or way to tight against the net. We just didn't play well as a team. The most kills was a tie between Amanda karan and myself, 4 each, for all 3 games. I did do well blocking though today, I got at least 10. I also got this weeks griffin athlete of the week. I didn't even know till someone pointed it out to me. Cool for me! I was there for 11 kills and 1 block in the game against OCP on Thursday. :) :) So we have another home game Thursday at 6pm, against ICS. yay. (kill me if we lose. please.).....

Weird day. It started out normal enough. Then there was that tornado warning. That was the biggest waste of time EVER!!! They should have just sent us home. That was bound to happen with a storm off the coast weather or not it was going to directly hit us. It would have saved a good amount of time. At least I got out of the first half hour of my lest favorite class. History was boring, a video on art from the Renaissance. Spanish was fun so was chemistry. I am so happy we didn't have v-ball practice today. I would have died I was so tired. That was from the stupid lock-in on Friday. I got about an hour of actual sleep, that's it. I sleep for 6 1/2 hours Saturday. It was so nice.

Today we had our first vball game of the season. It was against OCP and we won:). It was a close game though. we almost lost the first match. I saw a few girls I knew from Topselect because they play on Foundation academy's team. We play them tomorrow.
Nothing really exciting happened other than we got our shoes  in today. They are neon pink, yellow, and orange. They are so cool. I really have no idea what else to write. See you tomorrow!

      Okay, so I went to the thespians meeting this afternoon and I REALLY want to join. I love acting and singing. Hence why I am in Drama. That's not a problem, the problem is that my grandparents don't want me to do it. They say I don't have enough time. But they know I can bend my schedule to what I need. What they think is that Drama and Thespians won't help at all in the real world. They say I won't need it. They want me to focus on sports. I do not need that. I really only want to play v-ball for school in the fall then play softball in the spring. I don't want to play club anymore and I didn't really like throwing discus for track. I mean they were fun then but not anymore. I used to only do things that involved preforming now all it's a;; sports. I was every musical my church did for 5 years. I had lead roles in 3 of them. Solos in 2, I LIKE to perform but my Grandparents are not letting me!!!! 

       Okay so today was boring for the most part. Although I got back the essay I did for AP Euro on Friday. I didn't even read the book it was on and I got, if you go by core points, 4/6 or, if you go by possible points, 4/9. That's not a bad score, its about a 78... ish ... which is good considering I didn't read the book. That's about all that really happened today.
          Okay so I'll talk a little about my summer. I went to a stay away, work, church camp in the last week of July. It was Monday through Saturday afternoon. The first day was fun, when we arrived at Camp Challenge we played a lot of games. It was so much fun. It was mostly team building games, since half the people didn't know each other. Then after lunch we got too go to a rock climbing wall. I only got half way up. Half the rocks were lose. The second day half of us went to the Sharing center in Sanford and helped clean and organize their warehouse, that;s where I was, the other half went to the food pantry at Debary Lower school. I sorted through over 400 books. AAHH!! The third day we were at the Salvation Army day camp. We helped with kids, cooked them lunch and just had fun. I left that night because sometime during the precious day I was apparently bit by some sort of spider and was put on antibiotics for 10 days, and wasn't allowed to be out in the sun for long. IT SUCKED.

Monday 08/20/12

          Okay so today was the first Monday of the school year. It went...well... I got a lot more homework than last week. Bummer. Anyway I had Varsity Volleyball practice this afternoon. My Coach made us run a mile BEFORE practice as warm-up. I tell you! Warm-up! More like trying to see how well we practice when we can't move. So after that we did a few drills, and practiced hitting with our new setters. We are doomed. The sets are there 65% of the time, that's good but it needs to be at least 85% if we want a chance at not being creamed this season. Oh well. So after that we practiced rotation then we played 4 on 4. That was fun. I actually got to show my Coach that 'hey I can pass'. I passed two hard balls right in a row then I had a pancake and then another hard pass. In a row. If that didn't change her opinion on me I don't know what will. So a pretty normal day. :) :) :) ;p

Introduction to ME!!

   My name is Joie Rene Jernigan. I'm 15 years old, and my birthday is December 29. I love reading, especially fantasy and scifi. You can ask me almost any question about Harry Potter and I could answer either with out help or with very little. Any thing scifi or fantasy I will probably likely. I play volleyball, softball and through discus and shot-put for track. This is my fifth year playing volleyball for the school, 3rd on varsity this club season will be my fourth, and my 3rd at Topselect. I play middle or right side. This will be my fourth year playing softball, my 3rd on varsity. I play 1st base, pitch or catch. This will be my 2nd year doing track, and 2nd on varsity. I have gone to LMP since the day it opened, and this is the only school I have ever been too.
